Scooters are wheeled vehicles and when you ride a wheeled vehicles, you
are assuming certain inherent risks. Bikes, skates, and skateboards carry
the same risks as an electric scooter. However, electric scooters also
have a motor and can trvel at the same speeds as the other means of
transportation. It can be dangerous to ride an electric scooter - it can
result in death or can result in major injuries.
Always wear a helment that is approved by one of the major helmet approval
organizations. The helmet should always have a chin strap to ensure that
it stay in place. Also make sure that the strap is strapped. If you do
not wear an approved helment, you put yourself at a greater risk of death
or of having a large injury.
If you ride the scooter after dark, you may not be able to see obstacles
or other riders. Moreover, you may be difficult for other riders to see.
Riding the scooter in the dark is quite hazardous and can result in serious
injury or death.
If you ride scooter during wet weather, the scooter may become more
susceptible to traction problems. Visibility also decreases in the rain
or in wet conditions. This can also greatly increase the risk of serious
injury or death.
If you do not maintain the electric scooter according to the factory
specifications you may increase your chances of falling, collision, or a
loss of control. Any of these can cause major injury or death. You should
always push up and down on the handlebars to make sure that they are in
tightly before riding the scooter.
Children under the age of eight are often involved in most scooter
accidents. Scooters can move very fast and many younger children have
difficulties controling a scooter at these high speeds because they are
too young to ride. we do not recommend electric scooters to anyone under
18 years of age.
